Refining is inherently a dirty business known for generating chemical waste and toxic emissions. We set out to refine differently, by using patented technologies that reduce chemical waste and gases that are emitted with traditional techniques. We process your scrap in small batches, with higher yields and cleaner overall operations. In turn, our customers get higher metal returns on their including returns on other metals besides only the ones with the highest value. It is common for most refiners to only return a single metal from any given lot of scrap. This leaves a lot of money out of your pocket! Any scrap lot that we receive containing more than 5% of other precious metals can be paid for. It’s the honest thing to do!
How It Works
Test
Your material is tested with non destructive X-ray fluorescent (XRF) testing to define an initial purity and alloy. If you are satisfied with initial results we move to melting mixing and stage 2 destructive testing.
Melt & Retest
All like metals are melted and mixed together in an individual batch then poured into an ingot bar. The ingot is retested in multiple locations with XRF in order to verify initial testing and insure a homogenous mixture of metals.
Settlement
A settlement is offered based on actual New York metal market price (updated every 2 minutes). Unlike most others, we use live Kitco pricing that is totally transparent and is readily accessible from your phone. What you see is what you get. No smoke, No mirrors just fair market pricing.
